About the Office of International Affairs

OIA Hero

The Office of International Affairs (OIA) is Emory University’s central hub for international partnerships, communications, and initiatives. In 2010-2011, Emory welcomed more than 3,000 scholars and students from 120 countries and conducted business in more than 110 countries.

Under the leadership of the vice provost for International Affairs, OIA works in partnership with deans, directors, and faculty to develop and support international initiatives. OIA engages alumni and friends abroad, working closely with Development and Alumni Relations.

Through institutes, programs, and communications, OIA promotes international research, outreach, and global learning.

The Claus M. Halle Institute for Global Learning and the Confucius Institute in Atlanta are administered by OIA. Emory’s International Student and Scholar Services office is also within OIA.
