Association of Emory Alumni

The Association of Emory Alumni (AEA) maintains ties with Emory graduates living and working abroad in countries all over the world.

AEA has several active regional chapters outside the United States serving more than 1,300 alumni around the world. They include: East Africa (Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda), the Iberian Peninsula (Portugal, Spain), Austria (Vienna), France (Paris), Germany (Berlin, Frankfurt), Hong Kong, Israel-Palestine (Jerusalem, Tel Aviv), Japan (Tokyo), the Republic of Korea (Seoul), Russia (Moscow), Turkey (Istanbul) and the United Kingdom (Edinburgh, London).

The largest concentrations of international alumni are in the United Kingdom, the Republic of Korea, Japan, and Germany.

Local chapter leaders plan and coordinate events close to home with the guidance and assistance of AEA regional directors in Atlanta as well as an Emory staff person based in London who focuses on the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) regions. Activities include social and networking events, cultural outings and professional development.

More information about the AEA’s international chapters, and how interested alumni can establish new chapters, can be found on the AEA website at www.alumni.emory.edu.

Sheth Distinguished International Alumni Award

The Sheth Distinguished International Alumni Award was established by Charles Kellstadt Professor of Marketing Jagdish Sheth and his family in recognition of the richness and diversity that international students bring to campus. Administered by the Office of International Affairs, the award seeks to recognize Emory University's international alumni (those who were international students at the time of their degree) who have distinguished themselves in service to universities, governments, private sector firms, or non-governmental organizations around the world. Alumni are encouraged to make nominations for this prestigious award.
