  The Marion V. Creekmore Award for Internationalization

The Creekmore Award is given each year to an Emory faculty member who excels in the advancement of the University's commitment to internationalization. The award was established by the generous gift of Claus M. Halle and honors the work of Marion V. Creekmore, who served as Emory University's first vice provost for international affairs and as the director of The Claus M. Halle Institute for Global Learning. The award seeks to recognize those who:

 
 
In their teaching, scholarship, or work for the university significantly advance understanding of international and global issues at Emory.
Concretely promote the recognition of Emory University in other countries of the world, carrying abroad examples of the work of Emory's community of scholars or of Emory's engagement with global issues.
Give extraordinarily of their time and energy to organize or promote international events, visitors, or other cultural exchanges at Emory.
Create new ideas, structures, procedures, or products which promise to eliminate international inequalities, to promote global cooperation, or to foster respect for human dignity among nations and diverse peoples of the world.

  The Sheth Distinguished International Alumni Award

The Sheth Distinguished International Alumni Award, established by the generous gift of Madhu and Jagdish Sheth, Charles H. Kellstadt Professor of Marketing, seeks to recognize Emory University's international alumni who have distinguished themselves in service to universities, governments, private sector firms and/or nongovernmental organizations. Selection criteria for the Sheth Award include:

 
 
The recipient must be highly distinguished in his/her business, profession, or life's work, either internationally or nationally in his/her own country.
The recipient must be of such stature and fame that students, faculty, staff, and alumni of Emory University will take pride in and be inspired by his/her recognition.
The recipient must be an individual who has helped his/her country or the world population by outstanding contributions to humanity, science, art, or human welfare.
The recipient must be an individual who in deed or in action reflects the importance of his/her education at Emory University.
When enrolled as a student at Emory University, the recipient must not have been a U.S. citizen.
